We are in New Orleans!

We angels are very particular when it comes to travelling. All our vehicles must pass a thorough 10 point Angel inspection. 

Mrs. Julie Massey shares with the Chevy’s Angels the struggles of rebuilding a community after Hurricane Katrina. St. Martin Middle School has taken some huge strides, but they still recovering almost 6 years later. We want to share their story with you.

What started as a road trip has transformed to a mission to help this community and bring music back to the classroom. The children and teachers are enthusiastic to share the music they hear in their souls but lack the equipment and tools. Even $8 music books are hard to come by. Students spent countless months in makeshift classrooms practicing “music” with pencils for drumsticks and no other instruments. Families lost everything and 5 years later the community still feels the impact.  

We went in to teach them to use social media - Mrs. Massey ended up teaching us what a real community is.
